"I Was"

I was thrown into disgrace
Upon arrival of this place
I was tossed out in the dark
Upon my branding of its mark
I was lost within my shame
Upon the Entrance of the flames
I was left alone to dwell
Upon my sending down to Hell

I was lost and I was shook
But then I came across His book
I was gone and out of sight
But then He showed me to the light
I was scared and I was cold
But then He came into my soul
I was stuck within my shell
But then He took me out of Hell

I was brought out of disgrace
Because I let Him guide my way
I was pulled out of the dark
Because I let Him in my heart
I was lifted out of shame
Because I cried His Holy Name
I was saved from this Hell on Earth
   Because I found God
