Destined Love

At sunset, an angel falls to the earth, shaking and cold.
His wings are broken, clipped and soiled.
He lies there wondering what he will do,
His mind starts to wander, but his heart remains true.

The loss that he feels for being alone
It's absolute terror; it chills to the bone.
He cries then, tears of sadness and sorrow,
What will he do when he wakes up tomorrow?

He gets up and runs deep into the night
Screaming and crying, "This just isn't right!!"
Then he stops, for there in his way,
Was the one thing that could brighten his day.

A woman whose presence made everything still
For her very stare was breaking his will.
He finally breaks down, and runs to her arms,
For he knows this is the one girl who could do him no harm.

He was held in her arms all day and all night,
He didn't want to let go, because it just seemed right.
She looked at him then, and he started to pray
Please let this be the one to take him away.

Away from all the life of anger and jealousy
Into a world of love, peace and ecstasy
He turned to her, and she gave him a kiss,
Then love blossomed into pure bliss.

He had never felt a love so true,
Undying love now present in the heart of these two.
She looked in his eyes, and he knew it then,
His life would never be quite the same again
